Participation at the Post-Extractive Visualities Symposium

Sanja Horvatinčić is participating in the Annual Symposium of the Centre for Visual Arts and Culture (CVAC) at Durham University, entitled Post-Extractive Visualities, taking place on 15–16 June 2026 in Durham. In the symposium's first panel, dedicated to the themes of extraction, labour, violence, and the politics of landscape, Sanja Horvatinčić presents the paper “Landscaping Violence: Post-Genocidal Terrain and Modernist Memorialization at the Jasenovac Concentration Camp”. The participation of Sanja Horvatinčić at the symposium is part of the research project of the Institute of Art History in Zagreb Digital network, spatial and (con)textual analysis of artistic phenomena and heritage of the 20th century (DIGitART, 2023–2027) funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
