Socialism and the Sea

Antun Dulibić, research assistant on the Housing.Yu project, presented the paper “Crossing the Sea: The Conference of Adriatic Cities of Yugoslavia and Italy”, devoted to the Conference of Adriatic Cities of Yugoslavia and Italy (1975–1988) as a form of inter-municipal cooperation across the Cold War divide, and also served on the workshop's organising committee.

The workshop was held from 26 to 29 August 2026 at the Faculty of Humanities of Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, organised by the Centre for Cultural and Historical Research of Socialism and the Department of History, and brought together doctoral researchers from Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Germany, Portugal, France and Japan.
